Feedback: Thanks for a ‘really good belly laugh’

Hi there guys. I just wanted to drop you a quick line and let you know how I felt after reading through some of your website’s ‘information’. I enclose that word in quotations because I can’t bring myself in good conscience to do otherwise.

You have a conscience? How so, if we are just rearranged pond scum? If we arose by survival of the fittest, your conscience is merely an illusion coming from brain neurochemistry that evolved because it conferred some sort of survival advantage on your ape-like ancestor.

I have just spent a few moments browsing your site and felt compelled to thank you for a really good belly laugh, the like of which I haven’t had in a long time.

Again, merely an evolved reflex that is again the result of survival of the fittest.

I cannot believe that seemingly intelligent people can spend so much time and resoures spreading a message so completely ignorant of human knowledge.

Which particular parts of human knowledge are we supposedly ignorant of? Perhaps chemistry, although I have a doctorate in it?

I mean, I’m all for an individual’s right to their own beliefs, be it religious or otherwise.

That being said, couldn’t you come up with a better argument for your position than ‘because the bible tells us so ?’ After only a few minutes of skimming your ridiculous articles about dinosaurs and the DNA links between us and chimpanzees, I really don’t know if I can describe how appalled I was.

Please try to explain why this actually means anything under an evolutionary perspective. You might also like to provide some (any) evidence for your claims.

This is not meant in any way to come off as either hateful or abusive.

Describing the beliefs of Christians who believe the Bible as ignorant, laughable and ridiculous is not abusive?

I mean only to convey my sympathy and sadness to you. Sympathy because people that uphold a belief system based on religious dogma in spite of all observable facts will be (in fact, must be) committed to a life of ignorance, and will in my opinion be missing out a large part of the human experience. And sadness, because as much as it weighs heavily on me to think it, I have little doubt that the majority of your followers will be more than happy to impart their ‘knowledge’ on their unsuspecting children, thereby creating another generation that will do nothing to help find that which both ‘creationists’ and ‘humanists’ alike search for so desperateley: answers.

About 25,000 visitors per day are getting true, biblical answers from us! Humanists will never find the answers that really matter as long as they refuse to look in the right place.  Jesus said, ‘Seek and you shall find.’  The Bible consistently teaches that we are to seek God Himself (Deuteronomy 4:29, 1 Chronicles 28:9, Jeremiah 29:13, Luke 11:9), but since humanists rule out the existence of God, they will never find Him.  And that’s truly sad, with eternally appalling consequences. [But, there is Good News if you're ready to search.]

Playing an ‘activist role’

This website is awesome! I check it everyday and I believe that you guys are changing lives. I strongly support what you guys are doing. I am absolutely amazed at those that truly believe in molecules to man evolution. I serve on our textbook adoption committee and I recently rejected a book company because of its high evolutionary content and I informed them of my decision just after they lost their bid. Keep up the good work and keep challenging people to play an activist role in rejecting the goo to you hypothesis.
