Augusto ZimmermannAugusto Zimmermann is a Brazilian Law Professor and a Ph.D. candidate at the Law Faculty of Monash University, Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Law (L.L.B.) and a Master of Law (L.L.M. Hons.) from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). Among other positions, he has been Law Professor at the Research and Postgraduate Law Department (N.P.P.G.) of Bennett Methodist University and at Estácio de Sá University in Rio de Janeiro. He is a member of the editorial board of Achegas, a prestigious Brazilian journal of political science, and Lumen Juris, a leading law book publisher in Brazil. He has published a number of academic works in several languages, and is the author of two well-known books in Brazil, Teoria Geral do Federalismo Democratico (General Theory of Democratic Federalism; 2nd edition, 2005) and Curso de Direito Constitucional (Course on Constitutional Law; 4th edition, 2005).
