Carbon Dating

00:5419 Mar, 2012

Many people believe that carbon dating has proven the Biblical timeline is not scientifically valid. It supposedly dates some material beyond 6,000 years.

Because the theory of evolution requires millions of years to be viable, a young earth position is in direct opposition to that theory.

However, in many cases carbon dating has not assisted evolutionists in the attempt to prove the theory of evolution. Take coal, for example. If in fact it is millions of years old it should have no traces of carbon -14 in it. However scientists to date have not yet found any coal completely lacking all carbon 14.

While this may baffle many scientists it makes perfect sense to creation scientists who believe that the earth is relatively young.
