Prof Steve Taylor

Biography

Professor Steve Taylor (B.Sc, ACGI, MEng PhD, C.Eng, FIEE, FInstPhys DSc DIC) is head of the mass spectrometry research group at the University of Liverpool. As well as lecturing, he is deeply involved in research and design, such as the miniaturisation of mass spectrometers used in security, environmental and archaeological applications. His teaching interests are electromagnetics, nanotechnology and electrical drives.

He is also a committed Christian, actively involved for many years with organisations such as Young Life and United Beach Missions. His fully-illustrated presentations are well appreciated by audiences, with provocative titles such as, ‘Science & Christianity: Friends or Foes?’ and ‘Science & Christianity: Accident or Design?’

Steve is married to Anne and they have four children.
